The Lynn family is sad to announce that Loretta's long-time assistant and dear friend, Tim Cobb, has passed away. Tim was Loretta's assistant for thirty years, beginning in 1982. She loved him dearly, and so did we. Tim was a member of our family, and we are heartbroken.

At just 16 years old, Loretta welcomed her first child, daughter Betty, on Nov. 26, 1948.

There was another a private visitation for family members from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. before the funeral. Lynn's casket was then taken for a private burial to the Lynn Family Cemetery located on the ranch.

Lynn's devotion to her fans became legendary, but it came at a price. The pressures of stardom, constant travel and unending work took a toll on her physical and mental health. In 1976, she suffered a complete breakdown while on stage in Illinois. She was hospitalized several times for exhaustion.
